Negotiation skills: My experience with the Wertz Group has been the total opposite of the previous reviews posted. I am in the process of building a home - currently an entire year into the process. Signed the contract in November of 2017. The Wertz Group has made no effort to assist me in the process. They have not provided any status updates regarding the home, they did not accompany me to any of the meetings with the options coordinator, the construction manager, or the builders agent. They only reached out regarding the home being built in October (which I suspect is only because the home was originally supposed to be completed in November). I requested that they, as a matter of good will provide me with a letter to terminate the contract that their previous agent signed. Allegedly they have since let her go due to bad service which they have told me over and over again. Their previous agent literally just asked to be on the contract even though she hadn't referred it to me. In the past 12, now 13 months their ONLY constant communication has been to set up a listing appointment for my current home. Not one update on the home I am purchasing. They forwarded my request to their brokers agent Karen Kroptki who said she wanted to assist do to my dissatisfaction, she has not replied to any my emails from 11/16, 11/19, or 12/3. Nor has she responded to my voicemail from 11/19. So basically they feel they are entitled to commission on my new construction- yet did not refer me to the builder, the model, did not accompany me to any of the meetings in the past 12 months, not provided me with any updates or negotiated anything on my behalf. They have blatantly ignored me, but feel they are entitled to commission for my home purchase. Worst experience with a realtor I personally have ever had.
